  • enable committed Christians to grow in faith and develop new ministries, and enable seekers to find God and explore the faith
  • offer a warm, safe and inclusive welcome to all who come
  • offer support to residents and visitors alike on the journey of life and faith
  • make the Anglican tradition visible among the local churches
  • contribute, together with the other Christian churches in Heidelberg, to proclaiming and living the Gospel of Jesus Christ in this city and region

Project:

Hoffnung Für Uganda

For many years The English Church Heidelberg has chosen an annual project that we support through regular collections, prayer, and dedicated Project Sunday Services. Our current project focuses on young mothers in Uganda. Hope for Uganda eV works in association with the Ugandan NGO Suubi. Their mission is to give young mothers a means to break out of poverty through practical training and support. A member of our council, Junko Iwasaki, is closely involved in this project and can answer any questions or give more information.

Coming Up

Church Cleaning Followed by a Potluck: Saturday 24 May

On Saturday, May 24th we will have a church wide cleaning followed by a Potluck/Barbecue at the Kaiserstrasse Community Center (please ask for exact address if you don't know it). Cleaning will start at 2 pm and the Barbecue at 3:30. Bring something to grill and a salad or dessert to share and come enjoy the summer weather with us. We only require 3 or 4 people to clean the church, so please come socialize even if you cannot make the cleaning session.

Please speak with Diana if you can clean as we do need a few people to help out. We would like to give our regular cleaners a break and this is an easy way to help out your church!
