Young Church
Young Church is offered for all children during many services. There is also a children’s corner at the back of the church with cushions, children’s literature, soft toys and colouring materials. Please refer to current services to confirm which Sundays we are offering Young Church.
On a normal Sunday children start the service with their parents. After the Gospel reading they go, together with their teachers and any parents who would like to stay with their children, to a seperate room where they learn bible stories, do crafts, and sing songs until they join the church service again just before communion is being distributed.
Sometimes the lessons will follow the Church Year: learning what Epiphany, Lent and Easter mean for example. Sometimes they concentrate on the Calendar year such as celebrating mothers on Mothering Sunday. And other times a favorite Bible story will be discussed.
